6 November 2000The Fairport lads were superb last night at the Rams Head Tavern! As always I come away a bit awed by the quality of their show. Gentle humor and seemingly effortless musicianship characterized the evening — beautiful songs beautifully performed. Wow! There's a thrill to a Floyd show, where with every minute you see a million dollars of pyrotechnics blasting over the heads of a packed stadium. But it isn't the heart warming thrill of an intimate show where you can reach out to the players, shake their hands, and tell them how much you appreciate them. Thanks Peggy, Simon, Chris and Ric! |
